Chris’ obit and funeral details are as follows. Club members attending are asked to be in airborne blazer and medals with beret.

Captain Christopher Carl “CC” Smith CD Ret’d December 26, 1936 – March 11, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chris “CC” Smith of St. Albert, Alberta at the age of 78.

Born in London, England, raised primarily in Truro, Nova Scotia, Chris left home at age 17 to join the army with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. He served with dedication until retiring at age 55 with the rank of Captain.

An avid outdoorsman, raconteur and devoted family man, Chris is survived by his wife, Ann; children: Heather, Maureen (Derek), and Ross; grandchildren: Alison and William; brother, Thomas (Hai Choo). He is predeceased by mother Jean and father Carl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in memory of Christ at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta.
